All Mary Cuningham

Mary Cunningham Bio:

I grew up on the northern side of the Ohio River in Corydon, Indiana. My first memories are my dad’s original bedtime stories that no doubt inspired my active imagination and love of a well-spun “yarn”.

Childhood experiences, and a recurring dream about a mysterious attic, inspired characters, Cynthia and Augusta Lee, for award-winning middle-grade series, Cynthia’s Attic.

Through a horrifying stint as a travel agent and more rewarding experience teaching travel and tourism, Andi Anna Jones, travel agent/amateur sleuth, sprang to life. The first two books in the series are scheduled to be published soon.

I’m also writing another middle-grade series, The Adventures of Max and Maddie, and adult mystery, For the Life of Claire. A recently finished biography of an army brat, evolving into a star college and professional basketball player, was just completed.

I’m a member of the Carrollton Writers Guild.

When I give my fingers a break from the keyboard, I enjoy golf, swimming and exploring the mountains of West Georgia where I make my home with my husband. I’m also a sports fanatic when it comes to following my beloved Indiana Hoosiers. We’ve raised three creative children, are blessed with two granddaughters, a grandson, a great grandson, and an adopted, four-legged, furry daughter, Lucy.

Cynthia’s Attic Series:

Magical costumes, disappearing stairs and a spooky attic filled with dusty antiques–what more could two, adventurous, young girls ask for?

Best friends, Cynthia and Gus as she prefers to be called, are as "different as bubble gum and broccoli." They are, however, equal in their ability to get into trouble without much effort.

In trying to escape the "boring summer" of 1964, the adventurous twelve-year-old girls stumble upon a trunk in Cynthia's attic that has been in her family for three generations.

In this five-book series, they discover the mystical qualities of the trunk when they are swept back to 1914, literally into the lives of their twelve-year-old grandmothers, Clara and Bess. Adventures,
